Company 313, Camp S-85 at Sizerville State Park, Emporium PA 15834. It ran from May 5, 1933-October 31, 1935. In April of 1933, the District Two, Third Corps unit was organized. One of the first camps of this unit was at Sizerville in Cameron County PA, just 6 miles north of Emporium. This camp moved into the Sizerville area and held a quota of 200 men, 85 of which came from Cameron County. The site of the camp was the hillside where the current maintenance buildings are located. The majority of the work the Sizerville men performed was placed mainly on the equipping and trucking to the settlements of the other four CCC camps that came soon after. They also built a mile road running from Route 155 to the camp. Additional men also enlarged the pipeline that supplied the inlet flow to the swimming pool. Not only did this camp build a solid organization, but it developed friendships between the local people and the boys from out of town. The Sizerville camp later disbanded on October 31, 1935 and the company moved to Whitehall, Maryland. Officers included Earl C Ewert, Supervisor of Subdistrict No. 3, Headquarters at camp No. 85. He held the rank of Captain and was stationed at Sizerville from December 22, 1933-October 29, 1935. During World War II, he served as the American Commander in the Pacific with the rank of Colonel. Another officer was William G Weaver-Camp Commander of No. 85 in Sizerville. Held the rank of Captain and was stationed in here from 9/26/3303/06/2013
